    Biography of Eden Ahbez

    Eden Ahbez, born on April 15, 1908, and died on March 4, 1995, was a musician and one of the first hippies in America.

    His real name was George Alexander Aberle, and he was born in New York but spent his childhood in Kansas. In the 1930s, he lived in Kansas City.

    Ahbez had a strong connection with nature from a young age and always sought to challenge societal norms and conventions.

    With a firm belief in the right to express his own opinions, Ahbez paid no attention to the astonished and bewildered faces of his acquaintances.

    Over time, he completely disconnected from the real world and embraced the hippie lifestyle. In 1941, Ahbez moved to Los Angeles and found work as a pianist in a small restaurant.
