Mata Sahib Kaur Girls College was established in July by the then SGPC President Jathedar Sardar Gurcharn Singh Tohra.
The college is named after the mother of Khalsa Panth, Mata Sahib Kaur Ji. The main endeavour behind was to inculcate basic as well as value education to the girl students of this otherwise backward region of the prosperous state.
The land was blessed as 'Guru Ki Kashi' by the tenth Guru Guru Gobind Singh Ji since then it has flourished as leading educational center.
